Aladár Almásy was born on April 28, 1946 in Debrecen. He graduated from the Budapest College of Fine Arts in 1973, where his masters were Jenő Barcsay, Aurél Bernáth, Sándor Ék and Károly Raszler. He has been a regular exhibitor since 1974. He works in Budapest and Nógrádkövesd and he is a member of several art associations, including the Pál Merse Society in Szinyei. In 1976 he has a solo exhibition in New York, in 1978 in Paris, and in 1994 in the Kunsthalle Budapest. He regularly participates in national and domestic graphic biennales. His works can be found in the collection of the Hungarian National Gallery, the Herman Ottó Museum in Miskolc, and the Tornyai Museum in Hódmezővásárhely.
